Shivers....Goosebumps?

I have probably asked this before but I don't remember, of course.  Do any of you get, out of nowhere, 'shivers' or the sensation of goosebumps on your skin and when you look, there aren't any?  I get this primarily on my legs....even the touch of clothing against my skin can cause it.  Today it's on my right arm and my hands feel like they are covered with cobwebs.  Even when I brush my hair I get this shivering-thing all over my body.  Is this just some kind of skin sensitivity?  I am getting sick of wearing soft flannel and cotton all the time which helps but doesn't get rid of it completely.  Summer is coming...flannel???  Don't think so!

I get that too.. and sometimes just to completely freak me out.. I get it when I having a hot flash or immediately after a hot flash.  It makes me feel totally confused.  I know what you mean about the hairbrushing or clothing.  Sweatshirt material is nice until it gets old and the insides get all hard and bally (I can't think of another expression for that).  Yeah.. I hear ya about the flannel problem, I don't think we can run around w/o clothing in the summer (all of my friends and fam will be traumatized for life if I do that!! shocked ).

Yup-I get this, too. Like Patti, for me it comes either right before or right after the hot flash/flushed feeling. I haven't noticed a connection between fabric and this feeling, though. Then again, I never thought to pay attention to see if there was such a connection. (For me the shiver sensation feels totally internal)

I don't get hot flashes often but I do get the goosebump feeling.  When it happens, it seems to be all over my body and scalp and I find myself clenching my teeth.  It eventually goes away.  This isn't a constant thing for me.  It just happens occasionally.

Here too! It feels like something is crawling all over me. This happens very often, though I don't really think about it.

I've had this my whole life - the latest about five minutes ago! - like goosebumps traveling up an arm, to my neck, over my head, and often my neck will jerk involuntarily and my teeth may chatter. Just for a second or two. It's very different from actual chills or goosebumps, but feels more electrical. I think that's the best I can describe it.

I'm new to this forum....but I'm so glad I found you.

I have been having those goosebumps and cobwebs feelings recently, and have struggled to try and explain it to others! Everyone just think I'm sleep deprived, stressed, and over anxious.

I'm just now starting to investigate things, and am terrified about being diagnosed! So far my blood tests have come back normal - so no hormonal, metabolic, or vitamin imbalance. Lupus, most auto-immune syndromes, thyroid disfunction , and diabetes have been ruled out. I'm off to a nuero next. *sigh*

I've had the 'Goosebumps' thing too, but I didn't have any fabric on my arms or hands. Then I got really cold and my whole body was ..you could say ... broke out in goosebumps and everything hurt. But I knew I had to get warm even if the blankets that were touching me hurt me.

I have had the shivers and goosebumps too. And I can never seem to find a rhyme or reason for them. I'm glad to know I'm not alone!

Wow..this topic came up only 3 months ago, and not only do I not remember it, but I also don't remember posting what I apparently posted! When I saw it today, I thought "hey! I get that feeling!"eyes
