I have had fibromyalgia for about
20 years. My pain, for the most part, has been relatively mild. I have had some bad flares, but not all the time. This morning I felt like I had a crick in my neck only it was a little lower than my neck. Now, I can hardly move without severe pain at the base of my neck down into the upper part of my back. I have tried otc meds and a heating pad. It hurts when I am still, but not quite as bad. Is this normal for fibromyalgia? This is one of the areas that I usually flare, but I don't ever remember it being this bad. It is usually just very achy. This is sharp pain along with the achy. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks for any info. I don't have insurance, so I cant just go to the doctor unless I really have to.
