Sometimes I think I'm getting Alzheimer's I type too many misspelled words, very forgetful ! Some MD's say it's from so many meds. some people take. And lately I'm really bothered by my ears ringing and insomnia. I just don't get tired enough at night to be able too sleep. I know it does'nt make any sense !!! Anybody else ?

Spicey, I also have the ear ringing thing and I have some memory loss sometimes. I feel like I have Demencha (sp) coming on at times. I'll go to pick up something and forget what it's called, then have to ask my son what then name of it is. He tells me and then gives me a weird look...LOL

I forget what things are called all the time. I think it's the fibro and not the meds, because I had been on meds before I got fibro. My kids say I repeat stories. My husband says I forget to tell him stuff....go figure!

Hara ... dementia :)

I know that I get ditzy from Fibro, and a little loopy from Tramadol. I feel like I have to choose between being ditzy and in pain or being loopy and not in pain. I don't really like being ditzy or loopy.

When I lived with my twenty year old daughter, she was my "what's the word I'm thinking of?" and "why are we here?" person. Now that I'm on my own, I didn't realize how much I was depending on her. I always forget things, and the tinnitus is driving me crazy.

I know that part of it is the Topamax, but not all of it because I wasn't *this* much of a dope until I developed fibromyalgia.

I don't take any meds that would cause it, but I am very forgetful, absentminded, often can't come up with the word I want, get confused very easily, etc. It has gotten really bad in the last year or so. So I agree that it is caused by the fibro, not necessarily the meds.

shockedDefinitely right with all of you on the fibro fog! Could blame part of it on my age at this point, except I've been doing it for too many years already! tongue
shakeheadPatheral, the ear ringing, hissing, roaring, etc., drives me bonkers, too! Sometimes I think it also interferes with my ability to hear what is said to me............. mad
Oh, well............such is life with fibro! Better than the alternative...........

I know it is the fibro because the fog set in before I was taking any meds.  I just know I am losing it.

What were we talking about? LOL Yeah, I have memory probs, my family teases me about it, says I'm as bad or worse than my 77 y/o grandmother who has Alzheimer's. They especially think the Post-It notes I leave around my house are hillarious. My ears start ringing when I go to bed and everything is off, so I now sleep with a fan on, pointed at a wall for the white noise. My bedtime meds have stopped making me sleepy, but if I go to bed and lie still I'll eventually fall asleep, but I've been like that since I was a child.

Hi Spicey- I think it's the lovely fibro fog.

Yesterday I was writing two thank-you notes, and when I am finished I reread any letters or notes I write to make sure everything is right. I looked at them, and thought someone else wrote them because I had misspelled so MANY words and that is not like me! Now today I could do the same thing and all the words would be spelled correctly! A-R-G-G!!!! mad

Our in person support group meetings are like a game of charades. Sometimes it takes a half-dozen people to put together one good sentence. Since we all understand the problem, we get a good laugh out of it and most feel comfortable talking even on their worst fog days. Many times I leave the meeting sore from laughter.
