I have a stationary bike in my living room. I ride that several times a day. I usually will read a book while riding, sometimes I will watch the news - not big on tv. I used to walk 5 miles up and down hill 3- 4 x a wk. Now I walk on the wk ends w/ my DH. I am on a cane, due to balance issues and OA. My dr said to walk for 15 min. Sometimes I can walk and I am fine, we like to go on the boardwalk, so if I need to sit on a bench, I can. We will walk and then sit and then walk, etc. Last week, we had to go to the store to buy a new stove/oven. We parked relatively close to the door, as we entered I HAD to sit down - I was shaking so badly, felt so nauseous and exhausted. We sat there for about 15 min and then I was ok after that.
I just came back from the grocery store, my usual Friday morning ritual. My son drove us there, he pushed the wagon, lifted all the heavy stuff, loaded things on the belt, packed most of the bags, loaded and unloaded the car, I put stuff away. He is fine, I AM BEAT! I am usually worn out for the rest of the day on Friday. That is my big plan on Fridays, not up for much after that.
I am usually tired more than sore after exercising, maybe it is the newness of the routine that is causing the soreness. Could you start doing it for shorter periods and build up the time, instead of how much you are doing right now. Also make sure you are drinking enough water, that makes a big difference in how you feel while exercising and after exercising.
I hope it works out for you, exercise is good for us. We just need to find the right routine for us and rest after.
Good luck. God bless. Alice.
