big big stress and a lot of pain too

Two days ago we discover some pretty disturbing news about our daughter and her fiance.  I don't want to post it on the internet.  It is one of those things where you wake up in the morning and remember what is going on in real life and want to crawl back in bed and return to your nightmares.   Say some prayers for us and for her because it is a pretty big mess and we are still reeling.     I had thought my neck was better but today I woke up with horrible neck pain, so bad that it makes me nauseaus. 

On the other hand, things are going good at my new job.  I needed good news, so was glad to get it.   I am not working tomorrow and am taking a break this weekend.

Oh Sue!

I'm so sorry. We love our children so very much yet sometimes nothing can hurt more deeply than when something happens to them. I will pray for your family and healing peace for you especially.

Thank you Chutz. I appreciate your prayers. Yes, it hurts more with them than if it had happened to me. I will be out of town this weekend and taking a break from it all. that will be helpful,

I can relate. One of my two sons is definitely headed down a disasterous path, He will not take any counsel from me, nor will he see a Psychologist or psychiatrist. He is running with the wrong crowd, and they can all out run him. So when trouble hits, he'll be standing there trying to ascertain "what happened". It gives me fits. He sleeps here sometimes, which is very hard on me b/c he is cranky, disrespectful, comes in at all hours, and always when he needs gas and cigarettes and food and his laundry done and money. He seems to have his radar attuned to when I might have a few dollars coming in. On the one hand I want to throw "the book" at him. Read him the riot act. On the other, at least when he is asleep on my chesterfield and I am tiptoeing around him, at least I know he's OK. It is so hard. But, he is 22 and I have done everything I can do, found jobs for him, he won't show up, got him enrolled in school, he left the area. Got him transportation, he complains about it being a "nasty" car. At least it gets him from A to B. The other son, God Bless him, is stable, works hard, has progressed to foreman in his work. He has a lovely girlfriend, who is classy and polite (even if she hit him in the mouth with his cellphone when she found another girl's telly no. in it.) That kind of peeved me, but he hasn't strayed since. It is so hard when these things happen to our children. We want to take all their pain away, but haven't the power to do so. Take care of yourself, first, b/c if you go down it will just make the situation, that much worse.

I hope this morning you awoke to less or no pain in your neck. Enjoy your weekend, relax! Sorry to hear you are having to experience such a stressful time, so I'm sending you a big soft {{hug}}. Great to hear your doing well at your job. Isn't it great to do something you like as a job? Wish I could say that, but then I'm not really sure what it would be. :p

I am sorry to hear you are in pain.. stress is one major thing that brings on the pain for me also, one time my mother really stressed me out and I hurt for a few days after that when before I was fine. Hang in there, GOD has a plan

Hang in there. Children seem to be a lifetime of work. However, challenges will make them stronger. Get all the rest you can.

Thank you. Returned from camping today. We had a nice time. I was in awful shape on Friday and could barely walk because I was so weak. But got better and am much better today. Thank you for all your prayers. Kids will really wear you out. We are praying that she learns from this.
