Lubylu did you lift something you shouldn't have??? I know after lifting my chunk of a grandson Fri my hands, arms, shoulder blades and clear across my back feels like I was tossing around a boulder. My arms are so weak I almost dropped my 5 mo old puppy Sat at my neighbors. I'm not on narcotics and only take tylenol for pain. I have been using heat and my DH massages my shoulder blades. Some times when we know what we have done to cause it we just have to wait it out til it gets better.

 

If you choose to be on narcotics it sounds like you will have to change docs.

Hi lubylu, sorry you are in pain,

It sounds like you are having a flare. My arms ache terribly when I am flaring.

Moist heat really helps. I also take flexeril, a muscle relaxer to take the edge off.
It doesn't get rid of the pain; but it helps.

Wondering why your doc doesn't give you anything more than tylenol? Iwould
call your doc and let them know you need pain relief and the tyelenol isn't helping.

I'm flaring too right now. I cleaned the bathtub yesterday (something I try to make my son do most of the time) and I didn't sleep well for the pain. Now I'm really hurting. :( I have nothing stronger than Ibuprofen myself. I can't afford to see the doctor for anything stronger. I'd really like to have something to relax my muscles. The heated mattress pad just isn't doing the trick anymore. Gentle hugs. Feel better soon.

thank you for the replies ,i do plan on getting another doc i also have ms and all the dr seemed interested in is wether i want to be part of a study ,,so time to move on as far as i know i didnt lift anything i cant my arm wont move up thank you agian for your kind thoughts and advise
