I saw a new rheumy last Friday. I thought she was wonderful...I had my doubts about
her CNA...anyway, she gave me new script
s for gabapentin and vicoprofen. The vicoprofen I have been taking for ages, nothing new, but needed a new script
. As I'm leaving, I ask for the script
s, she tells me they have an electronic hookup to the mail order pharmacies as well as the local ones, I use CVS and she already electronically sent the orders in...so cool! ok, wonderful, right? WRONG! that was Friday. I stop at CVS on Saturday, no order for pain meds and it's a THREE DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND...long story short...today is Wednesday and I have yet to be able to get a hold of this ***** doctor! Not only was she off Labor Day, ok, I'll give her that, in addition to the weekend, but Tues is her normal day off, so she was off yesterday too and her darling CNA, who was working, never called me back. All I got was voice mail. Yes, I called CVS and they faxed and phoned the doctor with no response. I know the answer to this is find another doctor, but this is the 3rd in the past six months. I am beginning to become a little frantic because I am down to my last few vicoprofen. I did call again this morning and told the receptionist "do NOT put me into voice mail" and I got her to listen to me. She took my info and paged the doctor. She called me back, the receptionist about
45 minutes later, just to tell me that she did get the message to the doctor and she'd be contacting me, oh and that she apologized. I said "ok, did she fill the order?" and she repeated her message. Talk about
feeling like you are talking to a robot.
I'm still waiting to hear...this is so stressful...just what I need, a little more stress to flare up more pain...
