Anyone catch the number of that bus!!!

   For help with Arthur try bromelain. It's pineapple enzymes that are a natural anti-inflamatory.

I've been using it for years. I used to use gluc-chrondrotion with it but it still took over my entire body.

The bromelain still helps with the "flame". For a cheap fix, try generic gin and golden raisins. Take

golden raisins and soak them in gin for a week and take 9 a day. The first time I climbed a flight of

stairs without stopping was wonderful. I stopped taking them as I felt better, stupid thing to do.

I now have them fermenting again and will be back on them in a few days.

Did that bus hit you, hon?! It hit me too! Well, no, it used to hit me, but hasn't in a long time. But I have had to let almost everything go. My husband does the shopping and cooking and dishwashing. We are lucky enough to afford someone to clean once a week. We have a Chinese laundry downstairs (one of the benefits of living in NYC). So pretty much all I do is sit in bed or on the couch with my laptop and my books and magazines. I only go out to doctor appointments or once in a while to see a play or go to a concert or dinner out. I can go a whole week without leaving the house. There's so much around here that bothers me, things that need to be cleaned better or sorted through and thrown out, but I just can't do it. So it just doesn't get done. Trust me, if you let things go, nothing bad will happen to you except you won't get hit by that bus as much!

Almost forgot...night sweats. Try moisture wicking pajamas. I still have to throw the covers off but it's much more comfortable and I don't wake up shivering.

Marlee Until you had written where yours hurt at I was starting to think the Dr was wrong and maybe I just pulled something in that area of my hand. Does yours feel like if you could pop it back into place it would feel better. That's how my thumb and hand feel. I have a hot wax soaker for the hands and whatever else you need it for and I have been using it some today and it has helped a little.

I have been using a brace for when I have the children and that has helped some. Where can I get the patches from?

Having that joint to go is the pits. I can't scrub, squeeze bottles, open jars and picking up my 6 mo old grandson is torture. He reached his little arms out to me Sat and there was no way I couldn't pick him up pain or no pain.

 

I have a lot of calcification around the right one and the left is going too. I got cortizone shots in the right one for a long time but they didn't help. I use to use a brace with the metal things in it, I still have some around here somewhere. The lidoderm patches numbs it a little, they are 4x6 sheets and I cut them in two and put it on my hand then cover it with the self sticking elastic bandage to keep it on better. You can't get your hands wet with them on. You use them for 12 hrs and 12 hrs off. My doc first rxd them for broken ribs and I fell in love with them. Your doc will tell you how many you can use a day, for me it is only one. They don't work too well for deep pain.

 

My dogs vet has the same problem and they can do joint replacement there, his son is an orthopedic surgeon but doesn't do hands. The recovery time is about 6 mos so he can't even get it done til he retires.

 

Do you girls get the "who smashed my hands between two bricks" feeling???
