It's gone, it's gone, it's gone!
My tooth that is
The orthodontist has made me regain my faith in dentistry. I was never afraid of them before, but this one tooth not able to get freezing into it, I was very worried. But he managed. The whole thing took less than 20 minutes, thank you very much, boom out the door. I asked him about
my facial pain, and he was a little more vague about
that. He didn't say one way or the other if this tooth could have caused all this pain. He did say there was some infection, but that it was unlikely the root could have referred pain to the other side or the eye.
So now I play a wait and see game. But the hard part is over. I was also worried (aside from the freezing not taking) that I would get a big flare up of my pain while in the chair. This didn't happen, obviously. I actually have very little pain right now, and what I did have was easily controlled with a Tylenol 3 I took after the freezing was starting to let go.
I was starting to analyze this, and what it meant. When I had my last big flare last Thursday, Tylenol 3 did nothing at all for it, except take the edge off the tooth pain. So I can look at it 2 ways:
-the heavy pain I had was caused by the tooth, and it's not there now b/c the tooth is gone, also why the T3 is working.
-the T3 is working b/c this little pain from the extraction is not caused by the same thing that gives me these attacks.
Ok, ok, just wait and see, take it one day at a time. I'm bound to drive myself to the funny farm if I don't stop fretting and worrying
Thank you for all the well wishes earlier!
