Scared of side effects

I take Vicodin cause I have been given this for the mutiple surgeries I have had and I have NO side Effects from this, but heard it's addicting. ( I only take like 3 or 4 a week ) but I'm afraid to try Neurotin or Lyrica...some in put please

I take about 5 Vicodin per week. I'm not addicted, and it sure takes the edge off of my pain on the bad days. I also take Nabumatone for pain. It helps as well.

I've never taken the two drugs you have mentioned. Is your doctor telling you to try them?

No but I have read that's what alot of people take for Fimbro

If Vicoden is working for you and your doc is letting you stay on it, stay on it. Not everyone gets addicted to Vicoden. Taking 3 or 4 a week is fine.

Do you crave it when you aren't on it? Do you want to take more or take it more often than you need it? Does it make you high and do you like that better than the pain relief? If so, then you should be very careful.

Hi Karkel and welcome. Thought I would combine my post to you. I started neurontin Sun., 100 mg. I have a medphobia and had been putting it off for a long time but the pain finally drove me to try it. The only side effect I have had so far is a headache. I noticed that right away when I took it Sun. and this morning I feel foggier than normal. I have to find the sheet the doc wrote out for me but I'm suppose to take the 100mg for so many days and then two a day for so many days. I can't say I have less pain yet, I don't know how long it is suppose to take to work.

 

I will keep you posted on my experience with it.
