I am taking a 2 week titration pack and just started on week 2 taking 50mg in the morning and evening. I can't function on taking this amount. Yesterday I had to take my daughter to the doctor and I couldn't even fill out the sign in sheet. I don't know if it was fibro fog or the increase in the dosage and today I keep forgetting what I am about to say when I'm talking to people. Hopefully it's a fibro fog and not the meds because the savella is helping with the pain. Has anybody else experienced any side effects with this medication? I would really like to hear your experiences. If this post doesn't make any sense I'm blaming it on fibro fog. lol eyes

Hi dinda, I am also on Savella. My rheumy gave me two, two week titration packs so that I
was able to slowly build up my dosage to 50 mg 2x daily. I have been taking 50mg 2x daily
for 4 months now and never had any bad side effects. I think the gradual build up (1 mo.)
compared to two weeks really made a differance.

I know there are members here who could not tolerate Savella, hopefully they will see your
post. You could also do a search on the top right side of the page. Type in Savella and you
can read some older posts. There had been alot of discussion about it.

Fibro fog is sure crazy. If your Savella symptoms persist make sure you call your rheumy,
he may reduce your dosage and build up your dosage more gradually.

I was on Savella for about 3 wks and had to quit from the side effects, as it nearly gave me a stroke. I also had severe dizzy spells, lack of appetite, the runs, and extreme irritability. I am glad to hear that not everyone experiences these side effects. I don't have alot of information about it myself that I can remember, but I do remember it's website. Savella.com I remember thinking at the time that it was very useful.

It help with my pain and energy a bit but it increased my fog quite a lot.

I was on Savella for two weeks, but was unable to get past 12.5mg twice per day due to extreme irritability.

I'm only recently diagnosed...I did do a lot of internet searches regarding Savella because I am very sensitive to all medication. The information I found was that some people are having improvement, but I did not find anyone that has had improvement for over 3-4 months. As Savella was only released this year, more may find it is helpful. Most of the info I found was about bad side effects -- some stated they had side effects at first which did go away if you could tolerate getting thru them.

I have been on savella for about 5 months and am doing fine on it. I think it is just like any other meds, it afects everyone different.

I have been on Savella for 6 weeks now and love it. I have to say the first 2 weeks I could not keep my eyes open, on top of Fibro fatigue and Donnatal for IBS-D I thought I would fall asleep driving. But now I actually have energy and it has helped with my IBS and I have cut my meds for it in half. I did not have any other side effects. I had a headache but found out I had a sinus and ear thing going on. Im sorry you are having so much trouble with it. My insurance will not pay for it. Is anyone else having any problems with insurance?

I just started it yesterday. Gee weight loss? I am allready on topomax which causes wheight loss, that is for my migraines. I was alllready losing on lyrica alone. Is anyone else on Lyrica and savella? My doc wants me on both because my pain is so bad these days. Hopefully it works for both of us. I have always been told to give any med a full month before I give up on it. Sorry if spelling is off or I am making no sense I have had a lot of med changes this week and am a tad incoherrent, lol.
