Yeah, I did say my "scalp". My scalp started hurting a few days ago and its really uncomfortable. Its around the crown of my head and its worse a little toward the right side, but anyhow, it hurts all over my scalp. Im not sure why... but I looked it up and apparently Im not crazy. But the thing that stood out the most to me was a few articles about
substance P causing over-sensitivity.
Ive read a lot about research on substance P...perhaps a larger amount in people with such things as Fibro... so Im wondering, is this scalp pain thing a part of Fibro, maybe??
I dont even have to touch my head, it just hurts. Its very sensitive. If I just move a hair on my head, it hurts. Its a really strange feeling... because its not my actual hair that hurts and its not like a headache.
Has anyone else ever had this? And what did you do?? Its very annoying. Especially at night when Im trying to sleep. I have been sleeping on my stomach more because it hurts my head. I wear hats a lot, or beanies...and it hurts. (and I considered the possibilty that perhaps my hats were hurting my head, negative) But, its also uncomfortable to simply wash my hair. Brush my hair. Wear a hat. Work with my hair at all...
What do I do???
