Hi ... New here..

  My name is Jessa,

I have been DX with Fibro for 2 years now. I am 32 yr old female. I have a few bad spells a year mostly due to stress or even the weather. (geussing)

The other night I lost all my vision in my Lt eye scarred me! I went to the Dr he sent me to a Neuro who did all kinds of tests on me. I had two Dr's look into my eyes and they saw one eye was normal the other has Optic Nuritis. (the left one)

They checked my refexes witch came back abnormal I have extra beats in both legs. So I have to have a nerve conduction test done.

I had a MRI done this week with and without Dye

My legs have been getting so bad I think its my siatic nerve oh man it hurts bad....

I am just looking for someone who knows what I am going though. All my friends and family dont understand at all. I feel like the freak that hurts allot and doesnt know why.

Any input at all would be greatful.. Thanks so much..

I'm so, so sorry that you're going through all of this! Did the doctors say what they think might be going on?

Just so you know, people with chronic Lyme disease are often misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia, CFS, lupus, or MS. Lyme disease can cause optic neuritis. You may want to ask to be tested for Lyme disease, just to rule it out as a possibility.

I have been diagnosed with a dozen different disorders and diseases (see below), and I NEVER would have believed that I might possibly have Lyme disease, but my friends on another forum persuaded me that I had to rule it out, so I was tested. My blood test (the Lyme ELISA) came back positive. So I just had the Western Blot done (a more sensitive test) and am awaiting those results.

I'm kind of excited and hoping I DO have Lyme, because I might be able to take antibiotics and maybe eventually feel much better!

Well, anyway, that's what's happening with me.....whether or not you decided to be tested for Lyme, I wish you the best of luck with everything! I hope that they figure things out quickly and you are able to get some relief from both the pain and the worry!

Welcome to the fibromyalgia forum of Healing Well. We are so glad you posted with us.

I'm so very sorry you are going through a rough spot. I too, was diagnosed with fibro when I was 28 and had two flares a year in the beginning, like you said from weather and /or stress.

At any rate, you have found a wonderful group of "friends" here, who care and who will see you through this time in your life.

Hi, Jessa, and welcome!  I'm so glad you found us and joined our family.  This is a wonderful group of people that love to help one another and, as a bonus, really do care about each other, too!  I'm sure you will like it here.

 

There is one thing we all understand on this forum...pain!  But, since we have had to learn how to live with the pain, we have found ways to work around it and still have an enjoyable life.  I'm so sorry you are going through so much right now but it sounds like you are getting good medical help.  Hopefully they will find what is going on with you.  I agree with Nasalady about being checked  out for Lyme, too.  You can have both Lyme and fibro.  Not fun, but doctor's can help with the Lyme symptoms.  That's good news.

     Thank You all so Much!!!   Fore you Kind words and understanding. I have been tests for allot of stuff wthough blood tests I do know that. However I am not sure about being tested for the lyme? That is very intresting.. Right now the Dr's are thinking its MS. But she also said it could be so many other things also. I like her she makes me feel like she cares and she is going to find out what is wrong.

I hope you all had a Happy Holidays... Me I am so Glad its over Its exsusting to me and I am sure you guys also. I feel now I can relax a bit.
