I have been hearing ever since I have joined this forum about pretty much everyone having bed buddies and how much they love them. So, a few days ago, I invested in one. I love it! It does such wonders for my neck! I absolutely love it! I am so glad that I finally got one. So, I want to thank all of you who have continuously talked about how much they love their bed buddies.

   I love mine, I keep one at my desk at work as I am on a computer all day,  people look at me funny sometimes but I dont care, feels so good in the winter

i have one and i do like it. I wish it would stay warm longer though.

I wish I had one I could put around my entire body. lol

I love my bed buddy too! Using it right now, sure feels good, I love the warmth!

I make my own bed buddies, using dried indian corn. I love them as they hold the heat alot longer than the rice ones. I am addicted to things. If I am not at work, I have one on me just about all the time:)

Nanners, thanks for the tip! I need to make more. I fill mine with lavender from my garden, hmmm.
An all over bed buddy would be fantastic. Or a heating blanket that actually works! I got a twin size one last year for Christmas, thinking I could wrap myself up in it completely. But then I thought it was broken, as it wasn't giving off that much heat. I was so excited to open it up, I never kept the receipt, so was stuck with it. This year my dh got me a throw size.... and same thing. Those things really don't throw off enough heat, even on high. But then my MIL who was here tried it, adn she wants one for herself, she was so comfy cozy. It does keep me warmer than nothing I suppose. Dh calls me a fibro freak, lol (nicely of course)!

I have several I have made and my puppies try to steal them to play with. smilewinkgrin I use the electric heating pad more than the bed buddies and they come in some pretty large sizes now. I've never had an electric throw but we have an electric blanket on our bed that gets pretty warm so you might want to check out the twin size electric blankets at Walmart etc. Mamanan. I know there is no way I could sleep under ours if it was turned up all the way it gets so hot. Ours is made by Sunbeam.

I love my rice bag and I love my new Sunbeam electric blanket.  My daughter bought one for herself, too.  In the winter in Florida, it is generally in the low forties at night.  She is a smoker and I don't let people smoke in the house.  So, she sits out on the lanai, wrapped in her electric blanket, and is toasty warm!  So, I totally agree with Marlee on the Sunbeam blankets.

I wrap my bed buddy in a towel when I use it. It holds the heat in longer.

I love my bed buddy. I do wish it would keep the heat in longer, but I love it nonetheless. It's funny, Marie, that you said you wish you had one to cover your whole body because the other night my hubby was hurting and I asked him if he wanted to use my bed buddy, and he said, "Only if you have one that will cover my whole body." LOL. I have never heard of dried indian corn being used before. That is really cool that it stays warm longer. I'll have to think about making me one filled with that. Then I will have two.

Karen's idea of wrapping it in a towel is a good one too. I have to wrap mine in a towel because when I warm them I like them REALLY hot, and the towel helps me not to burn my skin (too much:)

By the way I buy the corn at Walmart (only available in certain stores). Its called either feed corn, or dried indian corn. This does not pop like popcorn corn would. The 40 lb bag costs about $8-9, and I buy about a yard or so of material and there you go, do it yourself bags. So much cheaper for me. Because I like them so hot, they only last me a couple of months, so thats why I started making them myself.

That is a wonderful idea. A person could make them and actually sell them. I had a lady give me one once that she was selling, but it was too full of rice and didn't bend around my neck. But keeps my feet warm in the winter. lol...

Yes they are wonderful! my mom actually has one. She doesn't use hers that much. But I love mine. Especially since I just had some Occipital nerve block injections done yesterday and they are soooo tender today that having it cold helps! And oh being able to have it on the way to and from physical therapy in the winter time after being in the pool and my hair is wet. :) My bf is sooo wonderful for buying me that for chirstmas. :) YAY!
