I have not been sleeping well the past few weeks and the longer this goes on the more mentally impaired I become and yesterday was really bad.
I put a potato in the microwave last night, thought I had set it for 11 minutes. I sat down watching TV and kept thinking it sure seems like those 11 minutes are taking a long time, but finally the buzzer goes off. As soon as I opened the microwave door I knew the potato didn't look quite right. I picked it up and it was as hard as a rock, had to use the meat tenderizer to crack it open. There was nothing inside, it was hollow, so where did the potato go??? There was skin and hard brown stuff but no potato. I still have no idea what I set the timer on it must have been 21 or 31 minutes instead of 11.
So after I fixed another potato at 11 minutes and ate it decided to eat some Rocky Road ice cream. When I'm tired I crave chocolate. After eating about half the carton and really enjoying it, I had a lucid thought. The two nights before I had sat here eating Hershey's Kisses all evening, I like to put them in the roof of my mouth and let them slowly melt, ate a bag in two nights. DUHHHH, you think that may have added to the sleep problem with the caffeine???
I'm smart enough to stop drinking anything with caffeine in it after about 5:00 so it doesn't interfere with my sleep but not once while I was enjoying my chocolates did it ever occur to me that I may be adding to the sleep problems with the candy I was eating all evening. Why??? A sane person would have figured that out when I started craving chocolate in the evenings, but not me.
Today, if I want chocolate I will finish the ice cream early in the day and stop all caffeine about 4:00 and see if that helps me sleep better tonight cause I was awake at 4:00 am again this morning.
