I got daffodils!

My husband always brings me the first bunch of daffodils that he sees in a store each spring. Yesterday he brought me them for the 40th time... That's one bunch every spring for 40 years... since we started dating in 1970. Life is good.

I love daffodils!  I had them all over my yard up north.  The squirrels don't like the taste of the bulbs so I knew I would be blessed with a glorious display in the spring.

 

Jeannie, that is so wonderful of your hubby to remember to do this, for forty years, no less!  I'm so happy for you because he must love you a lot to continue "courting" you with flowers.  I know you are enjoying them.

Awwqww! My favorite flower. Love gardenias and daiseys also. Did you know that hybrid daffodils do no smell as strong as the original ones? Just a bit of trivia. I also love white clover - you remember the ones. We made necklaces and other beautiful jewelry out of them. When I was teaching, I was always wearing clover necklaces my students made for me. Such a sweet smell which carried you back in time to youthful, carefree, and painfree (I might add) memories. Give your husband a hug for all of us girls.

When I seen the title I thought, why is her daffodils up so early??? They would have to get through the snow first, huh???
