I was wondering if anyone else has felt like their joints are not in as much pain to notice that week or month, but still feel extremely tired, lack of energy to get up from a sitting postition much less do work and/or muscles cramping all over and just feeling like crawling into bed and not leaving for a year?  I've been feeling the rain where I'm at and my goodness I can't wait for the proposed sunny weather in a week or so!  My hands, feet and wrists hurt more than the rest of the joints and don't feel like fibro and I can't breathe as easy right now either.  I'm waiting to buy some ankle braces at walgreens, but they are back ordered for two weeks.  I just feel lonely in this feeling.  Online is my only connection to others that have fibro with me, in a way.

We are two-legged barometers.  I know it's going to rain before the Weather Channel.  It's typical of fibro.

Where I live the weather changes all the time, but if I happen to notice, oh yes, there's a correlation between any change and an increase in pain.

It's raining right now and I definately feel it and like Sherrine I know it's going to rain
before the rain actually falls. We fibromites have all sorts of talents!

Heat and gentle stretching make me feel better. Rainy days are great for reading or
watching old movies on TV. It does help to keep your mind off the achiness. Hope you feel
better soon and that the sun finds it's way to your "neck of the woods".

THe rain does a number on my body and so does just the humitiy and I live in KY so it seems like it's always humid.

I had been feeling much better for the past couple of weeks. I had even been able to do some pretty involved remodeling work on my daughter's room and closet area last weekend with absolutely no problems. Then, this afternoon, a severe storm system moved into the area. Just before the system moved in, I started to feel achey. Late this afternoon, my lower back started aching. Now, tonight, I have been having muscle spasams in this area, and in the back of one knee! This is really strange, as my knees are usually one area that are never involved!

I do indeed feel the rain/snow/whatever. Now though, I'm just so tired I can barely drag myself off the couch into bed. I just left the hospital though and for some reason it feels really good to lay on the couch with my legs elevated on this thick blanket like I did when I was in the hospital. I just feels better on my tummy then actually moving off the couch and into my bed with my DH. I miss sleeping with him but I fear him touching my side in his sleep.

Yep!!! I don't only feel the weather we are having but I can pick up weather in a 200 mile radius, is that dopler radar??? I use to love spring, except the tornados, but now, not so much with the constant weather changes. I'm sure my neighbors think I am crazy anyway but I turn the air on as soon as it starts getting warm to take the humidity out of the house, don't know if it helps or not but sounds logical to me.

Veronica, I live in KY also and the rain for the weekend is killing me.  I will be so glad when it's over, even though my DH says we really need it for the garden.

 

It feels like every joint in my body is aching.  I guess this is just something we all share.

Man I had no idea that so many people hurt like crazy with the rain. For me, it's definitely the build up to the rain that hurts me the most. It can be days or hours but right before the rain, the pain intensifies. Then, when the rain starts to fall, I usually feel much better. I knew this was the fibro, but I had no idea so many of you felt the same way too. Hmmm Learned something new about ya all today. Thanks, I feel better knowing I'm not alone.

Thank you all for showing me that I'm not alone on this one!  I thought that most of us fibromites would feel it, but I'm still new at finding out I'm not alone anymore.  I hope everyone is getting better!  My ankles have been having shooting pains on the sides at the same time or alternate and make really interesting to walk around.  Mkaes work very interesting.

You are for sure not alone.  I don't have anything new to add that the others didn't.....Humidity does a number on me and I am in the Southeast and the humid summers are awful so I'm not looking forward to summer at all.  Rain also affects me- seems to make the brain fog worse for me.  Soft hugs to all!
