Hello,
You just reminded me again why fibromyalgia is such a sad, horrible disease, because what it likes to do is rob people of joy. One of the hardest things for a fibromyalgia patient to do is refuse to allow this disease to rob you of your joy.
Yes... fibromyalgia will keep you from being rambunctious with your kids, but it cannot keep you from being a great mother to your kids unless you allow it to steal your joy. Once you accept that fibromyalgia is going to change your life, that you will not be able to do many of the things you were able to do in the past, you can get on toward coming up with creative things you can do with your kids. They may be quieter things, but that's okay. You might have to make adjustments... like taking a stool into the kitchen to sit on while you make cookies with the kids... but you can still do many of the things mothers typically do. The kids will enjoy them just as well.
