Thanks Kim and Shirley. Knee still hurting. Got ice on it and took 4 ibuprofren. I hope if I stay off of it it will get better. FM is just making it much worse, hip and ankle hurts too. Just when I start exercising this happens. Gonna try and stay positive.

Sheila, you need to start exercising s-l-o-w-l-y. If you haven't been using those muscles and then start demanding strength from them, they rebel. You have to build yourself up before you jump into some of the exercise videos that are out there. My video is a walking in place with just a tiny bit of aerobics. My body can handle that and I haven't hurt myself doing it.
I sure hope that knee improves soon and then start walking and go from there. Feel better!

Sheila, Hoping you get back into a exercise routine once the knee is feeling better. As
Sherrine said start slowly. Easing into a routine is kinder on your body.
I'm a seasoned walker and some days do around 2 miles, but if I hadn't been out in a day
or two due to a bad flare, I won't push full throttle.
Excercise is one of the most important things that we can do to help with the pain.
Hoping you are feeling better soon!
Hugs, Robin

Sheila,
It is so important that we stay mindful when we are exercising. Pay attention to every part of your body. And most of all, start out really slow. I know that it just doesn't seem right, because you probably use to be able to do a lot more. But when we start again, we have to start from the beginning all over again.
The mindfulness really helps, you don't get hurt that way. You are focusing on your whole body and pay attention to everything that you do. Every movement. You will get a little meditation in that way and that really clears the mind of everything else. I sure miss working out. I walk now, but don't do like I use to. Maybe I can get started really slow, I should get in the habit of it so that when winter comes around again, I will have a routine. See you just inspired me. Thank you for that.
Have a great day!!!
Hugs, Karen
