Does anyone else love their recliner?

Over the past months, I've been sleeping half the night in my recliner and the other half in bed. I seem to wake up less stiff in the morning. Does anyone else do something like this? I hurt like crazy when I sleep all night in bed. We were just on a little vacation to Minnesota, and it was awful for me. No recliner!

Yes, I have a big, puffy recliner, and that is where I spend all of my time during the day when I am not up and moving around. I do sometimes sleep in it when I am hurting, and it is very comfortable. My husband also has a big recliner, and he also sleeps in it on occasion when he is having knee and back pain, and he says that it is more comfortable than sleeping in bed.

My recliners aren't comfortable. I do better in a straight back chair. I have fallen asleep in them and really hurt when I get up. and they are Lazyboys. Go figure....

If I sleep in my recliner I end up with a very stiff neck. I cant do straight back chairs either because my back cant take them. In our kitchen hubby and I both have computer chairs that recline somewhat and then put our feet up on our benches. lol I am able to sleep in my bed at night but would sure like to get one of those fibropedic beds that I have seen advertised to see if it would help me to wake up in the morning and not take three hours just to get moving.

I jealous!  I hear about people and their recliners and I can't sit in them.  The ones I've tried are too soft for my back plus I'm quite short and my feet don't touch the ground if I want to sit up straight. 

 

Maybe I need to search a little harder and see if they make any firmer recliners for midgets!  turn

I love my recliner. I just had major abdominal surgery and cannot do the bed, but sleep perfectly in the recliner. My husband says he misses me, so he sleeps on the couch to be next to me. I have tried to go to bed, but cant make it yet. I am ALWAYS more comfortable in my recliner than in my bed. Go figure.

I too went on vacation for a week and suffered because I couldn't sit in my recliner. I was soooooooooooo uncomfortable. I really get this thread!! LOL

I would love to get a recliner, it's on my wish list. I decided it might be a good idea one day when I was in alot of pain all over my body and I had a dentist's appointment. My appointment took about an hour but after reclining in the dentist's chair I felt great. I went home thinking man I need one of these at my house lol.

I'm also a recliner sleeper! I'm like myjoy...1/2 the night in bed, the other 1/2 in the recliner. I have a pillow stashed by mine in the living room so I'm set to go and blankets folded and placed over the back of the recliner.

Sherrine... Do check out several places for a recliner that fits you. My mom was very short and also short wasted...her feet barely reached the ground!...lol It took a bit of shopping but she did find chairs, including a recliner, that fit her. When she sat in the chairs her feet would actually touch the floor! It might be well worth your time...

I have a really hard time with recliners. I can't seem to get them back in a sitting position after I reline them! Talk about feeling stuck!
