You should make an appointment with a doctor that believes in fibromyalgia. When you call, ask if they treat patients with fibro. Meanwhile, go to Fibro 101 and print out the log and start writing down how your pain is when doing things. There are pain charts in Fibro 101 that will help you describe your pain. Take this with you to the doctor.
A doctor needs to run blood work and other tests to rule out other illnesses. Fibro has many of the same symptoms as other illnesses and this shoud be done before a diagnosis of fibro is given because these other illnesses are treated differently. Your psychiatrist really shouldn't have diagnosed you without testing, which I'm quite sure they didn't do. At least the psychiatrists in the US only deal with psychological problems...not physical ones.
In Fibro 101, there is a link called, What Else Could It Be. Check that out. Apparently you haven't had time to read Fibro 101 but it would be well worth the effort.
I hope this helps you.
