Hi all,
I wrote last week about my daughter having an emergency appendectomy. She's doing pretty well now. We moved her to another town 3 days later (AFTER packing all her stuff and cleaning her appartment, which SHE was going to do) One of the worst things for me was scrubbing the fridge hard, "can't" do that, but had to be done...
Naturally, I'm feeling purdy wiped out. Jury duty this morning .... luckily, the trial settled. So I'm getting ready to leave the jury room when guess who can't find her keys. Check purse, pockets - nope. Have to have the court assistant escort me to another building where I'd gone through security - nope. Back to the first building, she's checking the bathroom - ooops! They were hiding in a pocket in my purse after all
On the road to bring my daughter some stuff she needs - she can't drive yet - get 20 miles and realize I'd forgotten the most important thing. Turn around, zip home, grab the stuff, off again. Home again. Now, please, a quiet week with NO DRAMA! Then maybe the vast and unfathomable space between my ears can shrink a bit. There's always hope, right?
