Well it must be going to rain, the pain in my back and legs are driving me mad. I can not wait to see the Doctor tomorrow to get something to make me sleep and some pain relief.

I have not been sleeping again and we may have to change my medications again. What a pain I just get used to one lot of tablets and we have to change them.

If anyone has any suggests on what to take to make me sleep I would be thankful if I can give him something else he will try me on that as long as it not something I am allergic too. And that list is very long.

eyes  I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions, I'm not sure what you have taken already. Ambien and ambitrytilean a lot of people have told me, but I haven't had much luck. I just wanted to wish you luck..I hope your Dr. app. goes good and they figure out something. yeah

Hi Kathy I take a small dose of valium to help me sleep at night. Dont know if you can tolerate it but it is one of the few medications I can handle.

This might be too simple, but I'll suggest it anyway. Have you tried benadryl -- in the US that is diphenhydramine. It's for allergies, but it is also sold as an over the counter sleep aid. My allergist said he didn't like to prescribe sleep aids, but he felt diphenhydramine was a safe alternative. I take only 25mg which originally was for my chronic hives but has worthwhile benefits for my sleep. 25mg is adequate for me, I think 50mg would knock me out within a couple hours easy. Just a thought.

I have tried everything I can buy across the counter, my chemist has suggested everything he can think off, I have been seeing the same chemist for over10 years now. No I need a mixture of meds. to make me sleep. That may seem strange but we have tried ALL the sleeping tablets that are out and NONE of them work. I just do not metablise them as anyone else does.
So its a try a bit off this and a bit off that to see what works. And while we are tryingf to work it out my sleep patten is gone which means my pain level goes off the chart. Just today I would put my pain level as a 10 out of ten.
To make mtters worse I am not at home I have gone into work to get out off the house as I was starting to want to just sit down and cry.

Lunesta! It leaves a bad taste the next morning at first, but it doesn't last. And it's well worth it. I'd been on Ambien for a couple of years. I just got overly used to it & it lost it's punch so I take Lunesta every few weeks for a week & when I go back on Ambien it works just fine. But I like Lunesta better. It works quickly & I sleep more deeply. My only complaint is a very high copay, for some reason. But a good night's sleep is worth it!

Hi, and hopefully you might think this is worth a try. Like you, there are a fair number of medications that I simply cannot tolerate, including most OTC sleep aids, but I am able to take a natural herb/extract, Valerian (standardized or Root) that will give me a decent nights sleep. I should warn you that it stinks to high-heaven, but aside from that I have had no side-effects from taking this and anytime I can find something 'natural' as opposed to chemical, I'm willing to give it a try. The brand name I prefer is called "Nature's Way" and is generally sold in any national brand grocery store, et.al,.

I have just started sleeping after years of living on 3-4 hours maybe of sleep a night. My doctor gave me Ambian, Cyclobenzaprine, and i take 100mg of Lyrica at night with the Savella. I am finally sleeping through the nights most nights. My daughter is also fibro, she says her doc gave her the Lunesta and it seems to be the only thing that knocks her out.

I take clonazepam when I can't sleep several nights in a row, that knocks me out.
