Blurred vision?

Does anyone else have trouble with it? Do you know what can be done about it?

I work for an ophthalmologist but have never come across this witha patient before and don't want to say anything to him just yet. Any advice?

I too worked fof an opthomologist and they were well aware of my eyes and their issues... Bad Eyes.... They WERE NOT aware that fibro and some TRLP's are in the eyes that also cause vision problems. I took them the section in my book , The Fibromyalgia Advocate , and they read the section on what the doctor should know... completely unaware.... For me I think the flux in my vision, and it's gotten really bad, is caused by the medications I am taking now. Both the Savella and the Lyrica have warnings about vision. Some days are ok, some are horrible. Fortunantly, since I have been in the eyewear business for many years I also have many different prescriptions so I sit every morning with 12 pairs of glasses in my hands and try them on until I find the pair that's going to work the best for the day...Good thing I'm not driving anymore.

I have suffered from blurry vision for the last 3-4 years. I'm assuming it's from one (or more) of the meds I take, but I'm not sure if I can or should remove it. I've got a call in to my doctor, so we'll see what he says.

Saintsfan - how fortunate you are to have a doctor right there at work! You lucky woman. I hope you'll talk with him/her and discuss the possibilities. I've learned that we have to take advantage of the medical care opportunities when they're available, because we never know when they'll be taken away from us. So please, do ask the doc. It is the best way to go. We, here, can only guess since we haven't examined you, nor do we know your exact state of health. Give the doc a chance. *hugs*

I've worn glasses since I was in junior high, but my vision wasn't that bad.  I even had a few eye docs tell me they didn't think my vision was bad enough to actually need glasses if I didn't want them.

 

The last 2 years, my vision has steadily gotten worse.  I can't read without my glasses and need them when driving to read the signs.  I'm on both Lyrica and Savella and am convinced they play a large part in my vision.  Have a friend who also has had her vision go to pot while on the Lyrica they last couple of years.  The only odd thing, is I cannot wear my glasses while working on the computer and see a darn thing.  *shrug*  I plan to go get my eyes rechecked in the next couple of months.  Pretty sure I'm do for a new eye script.

Here I go again repeating myself, but so many new people are here now, so I'll throw it out again - -

How many of you have weird visual problems, such as:

1.  problems looking at words written in certain color combinations, such as red on turquoise?  It makes me so disoriented because it looks like it's shimmering!

2.  Same thing with patterns, esp. with lots of contrast in the colors?  Same thing happens.  I can't look at it, I get so dizzy.  (This one I've read can also be because of TPRs in back of the eyes.)  Will strangeness ever cease?

I get dizzy when looking at color patterns also. Sometimes when I'm sitting at a red light I feel like my car is rolling when it's not-scary feeling but I've read it's due to fibro also. Just wish there was something that could be done about it.
