This is a different pain....

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing as well as possible and experiencing as little pain as possible. I've got some weird pain going on and I want to see if anyone else has experienced it.

I am feeling extremely sharp pain on the left side of my body, from the bottom rib to the top of the rib cage. Even the lightest touch on the skin hurts....but there's no pain unless I am touched. There's no rash, there's no redness or swelling and there's no rash. The pain however is unreal if I accidentally touch the skin. I thought of Shingles at first, but there's no rash at all. Then I thought costochondritis but I'm not sure of that.

Has anyone with Fibro had this before? Has anyone using Cesamet ever had this before? I am considering it may be the drug, as I've had extremely painful joints in my hands for the last week or so - just after increasing the dosage of the Cesamet. I'll phone and make a doctor appointment on Monday, but was hoping someone here might know what this pain could be. I know for sure I haven't fallen or hit anything...so, over to you and good luck!!

I just noticed this morning that it's hurts to touch the same exact area. It just feels like bad bruising. I feel the same way down my leg on the inside from my knees to my ankles. strange isnt it?

Sounds like it could be a reaction to the medicine or the combo of meds your on more so because it increased with the dosage. Happy you made a doc appointment though... That is not a "I can deal with it" type of side effect ya know? lol

Well, I didn't phone the doctor today, mostly because I was too tired and sore. I think I'm just in the middle of a major flare-up so I'm going to wait a couple of days and see what happens. Every joint and muscle in my body hurts today....and my meds aren't touching it.

We even had to leave a gathering at our friend's house last night, as I was just in too much pain to stay. Thank God my friends all know I have health issues - they were all very supportive as I got ready to head home yesterday. I had to get help putting my shoes on, I was hot and sweaty, but chilled and clammy and I just couldn't make my hands function. Hubby and one of my friends helped get me set to go, and I went straight to bed when we got home.

Today just sucks...I hurt in every part of my body. I will be calling my doctor in the morning to discuss this. Thanks for the support.
