I went back to the dentist because I am in so much pain from the tooth being pulled.  Turns out it was the tooth next to it.  Cripes, can't I cut a break?  I am so sore right now.  I am going to a student clinic now because I cannot afford all the work I need done.  I needed to keep my mouth open for 2 hrs.  My ear, neck and head hurt sad .  I just needed to complain.  I feel like I come here to complain and nothing else.... I sound like a broken record and it bothers me!  I hate all this complaining nono    I think that I will curl up with an ice pack and the kitty soon!

If it took too long for the dentist to do his work, you really don't want a student rooting around for twice as long - or longer!

Wow all that and he pulled the wrong tooth?  He should take care of the right one for free!  You might ask.  Nothing ventured ...

 HHH, sorry!  It didn't come out the way that it should have.  I should have explained it better...The tooth pulled was to be pulled.  I thought the pain was from the extraction site but it was the tooth next to the extraction site that was giving me the pain.  Pain from the extraction site + very bad tooth next to it = double the pain. shocked

Oh holy cow! You poor thing!! I wish I could give you some relief.

Please don't feel like you can't vent this stuff out. We share our ups AND our downs here. Heaven knows I have had plenty of stuff to vent. It does help - especially when not all of us have people who understand all this stuff.

I really hope you can get that fixed up ultra quick. I'm still waiting to do my crowns - and I know what it is like to try to figure out where the money is going to come from. I know root canals cost a LOT.

You poor thing! (I'm sorry to keep repeating that - but I just feel for you)

I had the same thing happen to me. It rather stinks when you think that the pain will be gone and then chomp down on something and the pain hits.........I hope you get that fixed up real soon

Sorry about your mouth pain - it is the pits!! Can you at least get some good pain relief? I don't know what I would do at times like that without it.

Do you clench or grind your teeth? If so, your bite might have changed enough when you had the tooth pulled to cause you to put a lot more pressure on the achy one. This could make the tooth appear bad when it's really ok. Does the achy one have a lot of decay? Clenching is rather common in people with fibro and if you clench while awake, you clench a lot harder when asleep.

I clench like crazy. If all of my muscles were in proportion to my jaw muscles, I'd look like Mr. America (I'm female.) My new dentist is the first one that ever took my clenching into account when we planned my tooth repairs. Most of my teeth have already had work done but have been further damaged by the clenching. I've tried night guards but they don't work for me, I destroy them in a few months.

I am so sorry you are going through this. The cost of dental work is beyond what most of us can pay, even with insurance. Good luck, I hope you get relief soon.

Im so sorry you are having all this pain Lisa. I know from watching my husband having 3 different toothaches within two months of each other how extremely painful it can be. He had his pulled because we just couldnt afford the root canals. Even with dental insurance it doesnt pay enough to be affordable. Hoping you get some relief soon.
