It takes so little to amuse me

I got up this morning and tried to turn on the news.  Nothing happend... the television screen kept flashing 'no signal'.  I looked down at the cable box and where the time should be it read :  OCRAP.  Oh Crap??  I started to laugh because like I said, it doesn't take much to amuse me.  After a half an hour of this blinking message, I called the cable company.  Hmmm.  The letters stand for Outage Continuing Restoring All Problems.(how on earth is the average person supposed to know that?)  The woman was not as highly amused as I was at the acronym.  Finally the letters T3 and L5 appeared, which are the discs in my back that are herniated.  It's just so mystical...isn't it...magical actually. 

It turns out I'm sorry I turned on the news.  OCRAP is right.

I think I would have gotten a charge out of that message too. Some people just don't have a sense of humor. LOL

I too would've gotten a kick out of this.  When something has gone wrong with our cable in the past, it usually has literally been an Oh Crap situation.....Too funny!

It takes very little to amuze me too so don't feel alone, we just have great imaginations.

Oh ha ha ..... this will have me giggling all day unless I forget.

One of my favorites is "I want you to meet my good friend, Patty O'Furniture!" Years after I first heard it, it can bring tears to my eyes if I'm in the right mood. The rest of the family starts slowly backing away when this happens.

Donna, at least you started your day laughing, and that can only be a good thing!

That is too funny. Someone, whoever came up with this acronym, at the cable company definitely has a sense of humor (just not the gal you spoke with). :-)

Oh man Donna that was a good one, I would have been laughing too. To bad the girl at the cable company didnt have a sense of humor. That would have made it even funnier.

Ahhhhh!!! I absolutely love it!! I'm with Austen - who ever programmed that code name knew it was funny. Donna - thank you for sharing - and I'm glad you started the day laughing.

My new rheumy has a deadpan expression, sort of like Steven Wright the comedian. He doesn't get very warm and fuzzy. He was asking me if my cold hands turn colors, and if people comment on them. I thought about it, then said, "Well, often when someone takes my cold hand they'll shriek and say, 'Oh my God, you must be dead!' Of course, those are mostly relatives who say that." He guffawed and totally lost his train of thought. Priceless.
