I am writing to say thanks...

hi to you all, i am writing to say thanks to everyone here for all your posts and for sharing so much. there are so many different symptoms for fibro. i never know if what im going thro is the fibro symptom or something else. iv learned so much by joining you all and although i am sorry to hear you all suffer along with me i am happy that i can learn from you.
at times iv felt like im crazy and many times my dr has looked at me like i really am crazy. so im happy im not. lol. i often felt so alone with my symptoms but now i dont. thanks everyone for being here im learning something new nearly everyday.

Shanadine, you are not losing your mind.  You are in pain!  When doctors don't know WHY you have the complaints you have and no tests show anything, for some reason they think it's all in your head...at least a lot of them do.  Hmmm....do you think your doctor would say that to you if you were a man?  I wonder.....This happened to my daughter.  She had bad symptoms (not fibro symptoms), went to several doctors, and they told her it was all in her head.  Wrong.  Turns out she had endometriosis and that was what was causing her problems.  So, keep looking until you find a doctor that treats fibromyalgia patients and one that will work with you.

 

Remember, 50% of the doctors graduated in the bottom half of their class and yours could be one of them!     Jeannie would always say that and I love it! 

 

I'm glad you found us and have some validation now.  We will help all we can and don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you.  Keep reading, read Fibro 101 and arm  yourself with knowledge about this illness.  This will help you with dealing with doctors, too.
