So the doc finally called me today, because he decided to do blood work to rule out other things that coulod be causing me to have the symptoms. Ans he said that everything came back normal so that he still strongly feels like this is Fibro! He said that he will send me to a rheumy if i want, so i am going to go to one when my husbnad has some more time off. But I am not shocked or anything cause i kinda figured that it was fibro. But having the bloodwork done and things coming back noraml has made me feel a little better. Like closer to finding the awnser or confirming what  we were thinking! Thank you to everyone on here for your support it means a lot to me and boy do i need it.

Hi Kat, I sorry that you have to have fibro but at least now your mind is at ease about some of the other things it could have been. Thanks for keeping us updated. Hope to hear from you again soon.

I know for me having a dx made me feel better. I was feeling the worst ever when dx. but I could have thought of worse things to have. Fibro. is difficult at times, sometimes it can be real tough but try and stay positive. I know that some form of exercise is good.

Just keep posting and get all the support you need. It will help.

I'm glad you've been given a diagnosis Kitty...I too found it easier to finally "know" what was wrong - to have it made official. I suffered for almost 30 years with Fibro to finally be told that's what it was. Other doctors found it easier to say "oh, it's probably the beginning of arthritis, so just take it easy, take ibuprofen, and you'll be fine".

I hope that you will continue to receive information from your doctor, and that you'll be able to find some treatments that will help you.

Kat, I'm glad your tests came back OK. I'm sure you are relieved. You are now
an official fibromite....it sure takes time for a dx, huh, but once you have one you
know what you're dealing with and do what you can to feel the best possible.

Thank you everyone! I have acctually been feeling better since i started back on my zoloft! Just trying to take everything one day at a time and living each day to the fullest. I also have several other medical issues i am going in for biopsy on Wednesday. Wish me luck. I am only twenty four but feel like i am about 80! Thank you again for the support everyone!

Oh, Kat...and I thought being 48 (twice your age) and feeling 80 was bad :( I cannot imagine being 24.

I do agree with everyone else, though, regarding a Dx...there was a sense of relief when the rheumatologist finally said to me, "I'll bet you will be relieved that I have an answer for you. You most definitely have fibromyalgia." He was right. I was relieved. But, acceptance? That's a whole 'nother story. It's been over 2 years and I'm still working on that one.

Well even though i have been told a million times that in everyones opinon it is fibromyaglia somedays i just feel like i am dying! and it is a really awful feeling, and even though all the bloodwork came back okay so we are now about 100 percent sure about the fibro i still just keep thinking that they missed something and that it is something really bad and that it could be cancer or soemthing else they missed. Does anyone else ever feel that way? Also I have a lot of other medical stuff going on as well, i have a biopsy on Wednesday so just my anxiety gets so high just thinking all the time that this is the end of me. I just want to feel normal and like me again but it has been a long time dealing with this! Just cannot let the anxiety get the best of me. Plus this fog that i am in like all the time is so bad, it drives me crazy i never feel like i m clear and focased! Ugghh. I have decided that i am just thankful that i am alive!

Oh yes, Kat, I know how you feel.  I was in my late 20s when I started feeling bad.  There were many times I thought there must be something else going on - and sometimes, there was - that's a hard thing too, knowing when to check symptoms out and when to attribute it to "just" fibro.  We have been given a tough row to hoe, no getting around it.  But others have so much worse. 

I hope everything goes well for you with your biopsy.
