Lol! I think I may have a clue? It begins with an F as in Fibro, the pain giving, sleep robber, thought disrupter, headache promoter, energey thief, and so on.. etc... etc.

 

Can anybody relate? Or have one more to add to the list?

 

All I did was a little bit of extra work trying to get ready for a yardsale. It was a good day, a low pain day, it was Saturday, now it's Tuesday and am doing really good to just sit here writing this. Pain all over, and energy completely zapped. I guess I will try pacing myself a bit more. Just hope it isn't winter by the time I have the yardsale lol.

 

No, I'm not surprised, just need a little vent.  So glad you all are here. I have been having alot of finger and hand pain the past few weeks as well,  been here, but not able to write much. Hoping it's fibro and not Carpel Tunnel.

  I had to let you all know I've been reading your posts and praying for lower pain days for all of us. I so appreciate all of you.

 

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Galations 5:22-23

Oh Debbie, Im sorry you are having so much pain right now. I cant even imagine trying to get ready for a rummage sale again. For me it is easier to either throw it away or donate to a local thrift shop. Just cant handle all the prep work. Plus sitting out in the sun or even in a garage is just too much for me. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I can definitely relate...

I decided yesterday, when I felt like a** all afternoon after doing nothing all morning, that I might as well try to do what I want and see how I feel...
so...
...i woke as usual - back super stiff and so sore I couldn't take a deep breath and the usual headache, so took 2 tramacet, then was a regular dynamo: made applesauce, got burgers and stuffed peppers ready for dinner (6 hours away) and did a load of laundry and will be running errands downtown and making lunch.

then...I will report back how my afternoon goes. If I feel the same as I did yesterday, I will confirm that it doesn't matter what the bloody hell I do: I will feel like a**.

At least I'll know. :)

I had a garage sale last spring....my very last one...officially!  It's a lot of work and then you have to clean it all up, too.  It isn't worth it to me anymore and I used to LOVE garage sales.  So, I know what you are going through but you will be feeling better in a day or two.

I am really sorry you are going through this. I hate making any plans. My poor daughter is still waiting to go to the mall since May, lol. It seems funny now but I was pretty upset that I couldn't bring her. My mind always thinks I can do all the things I used to do, still, after two years of having this.

Sorry for your pain. I'm with those who have given up yard sales (having them, that is) - I give away stuff in little increments....then I go to ARC and get more! One thing I do now is look for lighter objects...such as...glass casserole dishes have to be 1 qt. or under. Funny how life molds us, isn't it? Going off topic again - - feel better soon!

I don't have garage sales, I box up stuff and store it on the shelves in the garage. I need to totally super child / puppy proof my great room which means boxing up more stuff.

I spent last week cleaning and rearanging rooms for out of town clients who we took to the Steeler game on Sunday, early day tailgating after a latish night. The headache hit around 10:30 am and I had to go to sleep in the truck for a half hour. Got home, cooked some food and slept most of the evening. Slept all night and woke up at 11:00 am the next day. That's life for me LOL

It's funny how many of you mentioned your done with yard sales!  I'ts funny because I have been wanting to get this yard sale done for almost 4 years now. Not because of all the fun, and hopefully extra cash, but because my DH and I are moving sometime soon, tentativly in December; yea I know crazy huh ? So we need to sale some things that have value, but we don't really want to lug with us.

 

But heres the great plan; live in sunny S. California where the lovely sun really does spend the winter, it's my home, born and raised. Mom and other relatives are there. Then around May go to Wyoming where all my 4 grown kids live, that is really crazy, since they were all raised in S. Cali too, they loved it, but hated the terrible hot summers there, and well, it's too long of a story to go into about why they all wound up there in Wyo., and me here in MD. Lol! So DH and I are going to see what it's like to be snowbirds.

 

Its also so funny because I grew up watching snowbirds flock to Cali, and never would have dreamed I could become one! I will have to let you all know how we adjust to this major transition in our lives.

 

One thing we both look forward to is the nice dry, arid weather because I've heard it is good for arthritis, which we both have. So we will see.

I wish they would come up with a cure for fibro as much as the rest of you. It can be soo hard to deal with,  not just physically, but mentally too. It's hard when you feel like you did not accomplish much of anything in a whole day. Oh well, tomorrow is another day, I will try to get a little more ready for the yard sale. I've got till the 14th to have it all ready. I knew I would need plenty of time.
