First time for that thread title, huh? smhair

I pulled some weeds today and also scrubbed my bathtub and shower. I am in dreadful pain tonight. My back is absolutely throbbing. I just can't take care of things around the house very well. I just needed to vent this - thanks for listening.

It may be the first time for that title, but I've done the same darn thing and lived to regret it. lol  Sometimes we get so ambitious, we think we can do things like we used to. shakehead

I would suggest now that you have a sparkling clean tub, you fill it and take a nice hot bubble bath. Get in a cozy set of pj's and cuddle up w/ the heating pad.  I usually take a hot shower (can't get down or back up again in the tub) and then follow the rest of the above.

I do hope you feel much better by morning. You are a strong woman!  yeah

OH, I have soooo been there!  For about a month I was like a tornado canning, gardening and "spring" cleaning of the house.  I have been useless for the last 4 days.  A soak in the hot tub and bath tub have had temporary relief but not long lasting.  My left side ribs still hurt from bronchitis too. 

Some day we will all learn (or not LOL).  My hubby still does not "get it" at all.  Even with the bronchitis he commented that he never missed a day of work from a cold........I was lucky to drink water for 2 days (this was 2 weeks ago). 

I have a ton oF garlic to plant, hopefully tomorrow!!

Thanks for your support, everyone. I was in too much pain to get into the tub, though. I used the heating pad on my back and took a pill. The pain eased by about midnight. I'm feeling a bit better this morning and hope to make it to church.

Pulling weeds and scrubbing tubs???  You need to do it the easy way!  I used to pull weeds until I found out that if you leave even the tinest root, it will grow back....and they sure did!  So I "nuke" them now with Round-Up!  They have a Round-Up container that has a long handle sprayer attached.  The jug is big...holds over a gallon, I think.  I go to a section that has the most weeds and shove the container with my foot until it's about half empte and not too heavy for me to lift.  Then I carry it around the rest of the gardens and zap those suckers!  turn

 

Tubs?  I have a long handled tub scrubber.  I think it's made by Mr. Clean.  Also, you could sit on the side of the tub, get a washcloth or sponge and use your feet to do the scrubbing.  I used to do that and I used to do my shower stall floor that way, too.  Then I discovered Clorax Clean-Up and that helps a lot, especially if you have mold on the grout.

Oh, btw: thanks Sherrine - another cool tip for stained sinks and tubs: mildew remover with bleach - you just spray it on and it zippo chango bleaches the stains away.

I SO hear you, Myjoy.  I did a few too many dishes last night (like 5) and carried a couple of bowls across the room - then I had to keep my injured dog still while I changed his bandage - so it was a Darvocet night.  Now, of course, I'm even groggier than usual.  Not Happy! 

I don't know if this is something we'll ever come to terms with, really.  I sure haven't.  I hope you're feeling better today.

LOL weeds are my biggest problem this year , i had a big garden this year and i hate the weeds they drive me insane and i pull them once every two weeks and in pain for two days .. next year gonna do container garden so no weeds lol .. learning to pace our self is the hardest part i think .. i hope you have a nice relaxing night and feel beter tomorrow
