Hi, Ivey, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined in. Shirley is right on the money. I've had fibro for decades and haven't been without pain. That is expected with this illness. But it does sound like things are getting under control for you. We can't answer your question about if this is the best you will be because no one knows the future but it sounds like you are on the right track! It will probably take more than two weeks to judge how medication is working. That's a short period of time.
Robaxin. I used to take that for muscle spasms back in the 1980's and it worked great. Maybe I'll bounce that med off my doctor. It sounds like it's helping you, too.
Yes, moving a trampoline will cause you to have a flare. You have to pace yourself or you will have more mornings like you just described. Gentle exercise is good for fibro, like walking and swimming, but moving furniture, and anything you are not used to doing can cause more pain. I used to move my piano and clean behind it once a year, all by myself, but I can't do that anymore. I still have the piano. It's sitting right where the movers placed it....13 years ago! Hey, no one checks behind the piano for dirt...do they? So, be kind to your mucsles.
Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot. Check out the links about malic acid/magnesium supplements and vitamin D3. Many with fibro are deficient in these and they have helped some members with pain and fatigue...even me! The links tell you how they work in the body. My doctor said he didn't think they would help but that it wouldn't hurt me to take them, so I tried and these have really helped me! This would be good to ask your doctor at your next appointment.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
