So the other day i had a headache and thought hmmm i am starting to not feel good. Today I was doing ok then all of the sudden this afternoon, my body went into major flare up... I have no idea why, but i suddenly feel like i have been hit by a train.

Does anyone else get flare ups for no particular reason? Usually I know if i overdid it or stress, but this just came on out of the blue....

This happens to me all of the time it is very depressing. I have been in a flare for about a month now my rheumy is adjusting my meds trying to get things right. Hope you feel better soon keep your heating pad handy.

Yes, and this is the most frustrating kind of flare, I think. You think, "Why me??"

Hi fiesty, just wanted you to know that the flare up could be caused by temperature changes. Sorry you are having this flare and I hope it ends soon.

A Month! Oh now I don't feel so bad that my flare has been since Oct 7th, 2010. Yes, I've had little flares come out of the blue due to temp. changes..........HARA

I agree about the weather and temperature change. That can really set off a flare. We have had bad winds, but right before the bad weather I had a lot of pain. I think it has to do with the barometric pressure. Honestly, it seems to always effect me. I have arthritis too and it is really effected by the air pressure and fronts coming in.

Yup, I get these out of the blue ones too....I think alot of it does have to do with temperature. And also when I get over-tired, I can flare. Hope you feel better soon!

I think most of us have had those kinds of flares before...or the ones that overlap each other, so just when you're starting to feel "good" again...WHAM! Another flare hits you.

I have been going through this as well and I've been finding it difficult to do stuff I could manage several months ago. I feel like I'm deteriorating. I see my family doctor on Nov. 2nd and I expect to get the diagnosis of diabetes and high cholesteral as well as to discuss my regular issues. I'm going to ask about a handicap parking pass as well.

Feisty Lady, I hope you start feeling better soon. I tend to dress in layers now, because I get horrific hot flashes and profuse sweating as a side effect of 2 of my meds. I am constantly ripping clothes off of me, or throwing them back on...I can't seem to regulate my temperature at all.

i agree the barometic pressure has alot to do with flares i have flares alot when the wheater does something strange! I have a 20 month old son and when i was pregrant i had to stop all meds and that was very hard, but he was the greatest blessing in my life and although i have this horrible disease he makes everyday much easier to get by. DX: fibro, severe depression, chronic all over body pain, etc. Meds:  lexapro, klatpin, suboxone, and remron for sleep.    Hope you feel better soon!
