Shirley, How are you doing? HER TEST RESULTS IN

I had my 5th chemo treatment today. Yahoo one more to go. They did a cat scan on Monday and it showed that the tumor on the right lung went from 3 centimeters to 2.9 centimeters and the one on the left lung remained stable at 5 millileters. Not alot of change but I guess it was enough to keep me on the chemo for two more treatments. Right after the chemo I am going to have to have a colonoscopy because it was noted in the cat scan that there is a thickening in my intestines. Oh happy happy joy joy. Well I will just pray that it is nothing new like the last two colonoscopies I had. I talked to the nurse practitioner about the Emend and they managed to find me some samples so that is one less expense this month. I told her I would rather be sick than spend 71.00 for two pills. They also gave me a form to fill out so that I can get them for free at my last chemo. I asked what chemo pill they are going to put me on after the radiation and she said it would probably be Tarceva and she said that we can do some paper work when it gets closer to me needing them that will help in covering the cost.   I am in a much better mood than after the last treatment but it has been a really long day and I am exhausted.   I cant wait for the next treatment now just so I can say yay Im done with chemo! lol  Party at my house!

Well, I'm doing a happy dance!     Things are perking right along for much better health for you.  I know you hate going through all of this but I also know you want this cancer knocked out of you and it sounds like you are on your way!  This is very good news.  Now, I need to get back to praying.

I do not know you as well as the others, but i would like to say that you really do sound like a tropper! I hope all goes well with your treatments. My sisters husband has cancer, he has it in his stomach lots of tumors, they have also found a spot on his brain. He is in process of chemo&radiation right now. We hope and pray that he will be okay! Shirley i truly think you are a very strong woman and will be saying prayers for you! If you need to talk anytime please post, would love to come to the party and celebrate with all of you!

Shirley, I always have a virtual party in the winter...usually the end of January or early February.  By that time, you will be able to harrass the pool boys and enjoy being shot out of that cannon, too!  Got some great days ahead!

 When the going gets hard, remember God is there, He will hold you up. You are His beloved daughter, and the resemblance to your Dad shows in more ways that you may know.  His love, shines through you!
