Every bone in my body hurts!

Hi everyone...so it's raining and damp, dark and cold and every single bone in my body hurts!  My ankles and knees and hip and collarbone, shoulders elbows wrists, neck and even my knuckles and bones in my hands and fingers hurt!   I'm cracking everywhere and really think my bones could just shatter any minute now!

My muscles don't really hurt much (except for my neck) but they feel like they have been over-worked.  I didn't sleep well at all last night because of my knee and ankle pain.  I'm dizzy and tired and don't have energy to do anything.

Every time I get these flare-ups I really wonder if the meds are helping at all or if this is even fibro.  My rheumatoid factor is a bit high but not severe, so I don't know that RA could cause this much pain.

Sorry for babbling...I'm just trying to make sense of this and really just needed a good venting session.  Hope everyone else is having a better day!

Krista, you just described the way my fibro flares. It is bone crushing pain allover.
When my RA is flaring my joints are swelling and the pain seems to radiate near
the affected joints. Both types of flares bring on the added fatigue. We are all
differant though and can experiance things differantly... and it is possible to have
a fibro flare and RA flare going at the same time...when that happens feel like I
have the flu.

Whether it is a fibro flare or RA, I find that soaking in a warm-hot bath helps
and doing some gentle stretching to prevent getting stiff is good. The rheumatoid
factor is not always a good indication of what is going on...you can still flare if
it isn't high. There are many people who have RA and are sero negative.

Hi :)

I am new to the forum but NOT to fibro and you ladies just described how I feel! Even my toe knuckles (lol)
hurt! I developed breast cancer 16 months ago, as well. I am having just tons of fun. NOT! :(

I was reading the Fibro 101 post. I went to Puritan's Pride and could not find the malic acid and magnesium
combination. Would anyone be willing to help me find it? I would like to give it a go.

Thanks Robin and welcome Sandy. I know what you mean about the toe knuckles...that one's new to me but I just experienced it about 1/2 hr ago! And I feel like I have no circulation throughout my body, especially from the knees down! I'm going to try to do some yoga but not sure how far I'll get....

I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer Sandy, and wish you to be cancer-free very soon!

Krista, when it's rainy, I feel that way, too.  Last night we had a small front come through and I hurt all over and limped my way through the evening.  I hope you are feeling better now.

 

Hi, SLee, and welcome!  Here is the link to malic acid from Puritan's Pride.  You will see on the label that it has the magnesium in it but the front of the bottle only says Malic Acid.  Yes, that is confusing...especially for a fibromite!

Krista, I'm cancer free as we speak. I keep telling my husband that cancer doesn't hurt but fibro hurts like HELL (oops!) Who would have thunk it.

Hi

I too am new to this website, but not new to Fibro

I can certainly relate to the every joint from the ankles to the shoulders hurting so bad...

I got so I just despise rainy days....& it is usually on those days I find that I have to increase my meds by one or two pills, just to get thru the day.

Someone repsonded we are all different and have different pains & issues, but I think the rainy weather...is a given that the majority of us Fibro Sufferers...battle worse on these types of days.

I hope that soon the weather will pass, and you will get some much needed releife

Aww honey sorry to hear you are suffering so. I can so relate as I was feeling the same way this past weekend. Mine was because of overdoing it, I should know better by now:)

Dreading this coming weekend as its supposed to rain. Arrrggghhh!!! Not looking forward to that.

Hi Krista just wanted you to know that I could have posted this myself over the last few days. My bones ache from the inside to the outside and I thought I had experienced pretty much everything there was to experience with fibro. I have been thinking it was caused by the chemotherapy but when you mentioned bone crushing that is kind of how it feels. Aww bummer to hard to know what is causing what anymore lol.

Try soaking in a warm (hot) bath with epsom salt added. I actually had epsom salts with lavendar scent added. The only problem for me is getting out of the tub after a long soak :-).
