Yes, that's sarcasm. I'm in a bit of a mood today, and I figured if I want to get it out, where better than here??  So c'mon everyone - join me. What is your 'favorite' pain of fibro?

Today, I am truly truly enjoying the burning pain in my finger joints.  Truly enjoying.  It's almost like a looooooong lost friend has come back to visit me and really wants my attention.

Thanks for understanding, and not thinking me a whiner. And well, if you think me a whiner, please don't tell me!!! :)

PS. Thank you Mr. Ibuprofen, for your assistance in this matter.

I hear where you are coming from! And I would have to say my elbow joints, they kill. And the fatigue. I am having a hard time with my fibro as well so try and hang in there as it is all that we can do. I hope that your fingers feel better soon. I am sending a big getle hug your way!

Oh for me it is the pain running through my bones. It is so exciting to have this pain when you know you are going to have to drive 100 miles to and then back yet today. Couldn't have picked a better day to act up. lol
I am joining you in this whining fest luvskermit.

Are you saying that "it hurts so good"? I know where you are coming from, glad you can make light of it. If we didn't, it would surely bring us down...

Oh, yes. I felt like I had been hit with a baseball bat a few days ago. All at once, my lower back and upper thighs started screaming in pain. I literally laid on the counter in the kitchen. My husband had just walked in and was immediately startled. I could barely stand up. My back wouldn't straighten up and I limped off to the shower. After 15 minutes lying down in the shower, I was able to lie down in bed. I'm only 34 and feel like an old person. I would've never been in bed at 8:00 pm. I am trying to look at the bright side. I can catch up on primetime tv.

Well, let's see. I would say my shoulder pain is the most prominent today. There there is the almost ever-present pain in my feet. I guess the pain lets us know we are alive, so that is a good thing, right? LOL

Winter is coming, and it has turned cold here. Seems to me that my pain increases in winter, but maybe that is all in my head, or my feet, or my shoulder...yadda yadda yadda

Cold bothers me I just want to curl up and cry,laugh anyway my feet and shoulders are singing today with my hands coming in for a few beats. Wishing all of you relief and smiles.

My hands hurt the most when it's cold. It's just turning cold here in the U.K...

I get this horrific, excruciating pain in my arms (usually just one at a time), and the only thing that helps it go away is to keep the offending arm perfectly still, sometimes putting it in a sling. I just love, love, love it when that happens about every other month or so. shocked rolleyes

For me, it's the deep, aching tightness that takes over the left side of my body whenever I do anything I shouldn't, with any part of my body. Then my right side overcompensates, I guess, because my right leg shortens to the point where I can stand on my left leg and swing the right one back and forth without touching the ground. I eventually go to the chiropractor, and one quick adjustment on the table evens me out again. Apparently, it all stems from the lower lumbar and sacral area but the pain and tightness runs from the back of my head right down to my toes.

Many times, driving home from the chiropractor, I'll go over a dip in the road too fast, and I'll be right back where I was when I went in!! Arggghhh!

I've had this terrible pain at the top of my head for a couple of days. It has become my companion! I like to put my bangs in a clip; it's much easier since my hands don't want to work properly. Lately it feels as if the clip is digging right in, I move it and still get no relief. OTC Motrin barely takes the edge off. One thing for sure, fibro is never boring!

Favorite ache...hands down it would be the allover bone crushing pain of an
intense flare accompanied by the feeling of hot oil coursing through my veins
while my skin is erupting with lesions and joints are swelling like little baloons.
Got to love that sarcasm :)

Thanks, all! While I don't think any of this is a laughing matter, if I didn't laugh at myself at times I would go crazy. Nothing makes me chuckle more than a wee bit of sarcasm...

Georgiabred - that is EXACTLY how my latest flare started. Was going along just fine and then -WAMMO- all the same back pain! I literally walked like my 80 year old father! I'm better, but still have residual stiffness and tenderness. I think it's a warning not to overdo, which I am heeding.

Sorry everyone is hurting, but so THANKFUL that you are all here to understand!

It has to be my big toe on each foot, trying to walk is just so much fun[not]. There is nothing like walking holding your big toe off the ground. My DD just had to laugh watching me try to walk, that in fact made me see the funny side of it al.

Free spirit, I too went to my doc and said I've got this funny pain in my scalp - can you get fibro on your head? He just said "Yep".
Also, the feet. I never, never have had problems with my feet (thank God, 'cause I used to be a flight attendant) but every morning without fail, when my feet hit the deck, I can hardly walk - it goes away eventually, but I hobble for the first 1/2 hour of waking. Pain all over the soles of the feet.

And Georgiabred, that's also exactly how my first flare started, my thighs and the left back lumber (acute pain, white light stuff, I call it). But the thighs got me, what's with the thigh thing ... I was on a stick for nearly 2 years.

Now, on Lyrica, I get used to the breakthrough pain, but any overt physical or emotional 'stress' can set off the 'flu like symptoms which drives me to bed.

It's good to compare. You all help me see that the pain is out there, everyone else has it too, and in the same places, and it separates me from it somehow. It helps make the pain not so all consuming. I'm still me inside.
