Got the denial letter today. Trying very hard not to let this ruin my family holiday. How dare they! Yes, I will appeal.

I'm glad you are not giving up!!! Don't let this ruin your holiday, enjoy your
family and have a wonderful time. Things have a way of working themselves out,
so try not to worry

Sorry to hear that as well. I'm doing my review as well.
Good for you to appeal. They will continue to pay you as long as the appeal last but if you lose you might have to pay that back so big surprise the system sucks. Try to keep your spirits up and best of luck.

I got denied in the past too. I appealed and lost. But found out a couple years later that I was able to work a part time job. So it might not be so bad. But do appeal. They make it hard to get disability with hopes that you will give up. Do enjoy this holiday season. Don't let this get you down. You can always reapply, but do it soon. Then they wont have to make you go and get all the records again.

Hi All,
I was reading through everyones comments and would like to put in my 2 cents worth..
I tried to get disability myself but waited to long..u have to apply within 2 yrs. of ur last job..
I was diagnosed with Fibro 15 yrs. ago. Its been a looong battle..sometimes I feel like just giving up.
It helps to know there are others who support and believe you...

Hello gentle breeze:

I was turned down two times before my lawyer won on the third try. Please do not give up it will be worth it. If you have a lawyer then by the third try you should see some progress. Hang in there and have a good holiday.(i know easier said than done), but i just want to my husband to find work or we are going to have the power, phone, and cable cut off soon. I have a 22 month old and i can not go without heat, but i know with god's faith it will all work it self out. Hope you feel better soon and you will get your disability, it is just a long process, took me almost three years.  Merry Christmas to all!!!

I'm sorry you were turned down, too.  It's a huge disappointmet but I'm glad you aren't giving up.  That's what they want you to do!  Enjoy your holidays and don't let this get to you.  You will appeal and you just might get it the second time around.  Stressing over it will just give you more pain.  So, cheer up and have a wonderful Christmas!

Hi i am new to this but I can tell u I was denied in 2006, as soon as i was diagnosed i lost my job and I knew that my fibromyalgia was a bad case. I was 26. got denied. ok applied again in 2008 and they denied me again and that time I appealed it. ok they denied me. but after the appealed it. it is in hearing now. meaning I obtained a lawyer and should be going to court next month. hopefully I will win my case because I need the health insurance. I have a sucky no income supplemental insurance that dont do nothing to help with fibro. they just want to give u anti depressants. so I know how u feel. I dont feel like being all festive this holiday season, but Jesus died so that we can be healed and I am claiming my sanity back. I am now 30 with no social or love life. pretty lonely and have no kids. but i will continue to reach out to others that are going through the same thing.


Everything works out for the good of the people that love the lord.


fibromyalgia, supposed to be bi-polar, ibs, anxiety disorder, and a slew of other things I deal with everyday that dont show up on the sucky test.

I have no faith in our health system and thats makes me angry

Gentle breeze I know how frustrating it can be I just got denied 2 days ago, so you are not alone. I am going to appeal and hopefully with a laywer ( been looking for one kinda hard around the holidays) They told me they did not think I was sick enough yet. I have Fibro, Lupus and Epilepsy, I cant even drive due to the seizures, no public transportation where I live, so how the hell am I to get to a job? They said I could work part time, HA! I get so angry because until they have walked in our shoes how do they think they know how much or even if we can work. I will pray for you also, that things work out for you. keep trying dont give up I no I wont.

definitely appeal.

It's almost like they think they have to deny you just to show they are doing there job.

when you go for the appeal you will get it......guaranteed.

When I went for my appeal it was a joke. NO ONE ELSE SHOWED UP. I was the only applicant.

they are counting on freaking you out so you don't dare appeal.

get a lawyer. it takes all the extra stress off of it.

I got a big fat check after waiting almost 3 yrs .

YOU"LL GET IT. just GO for it
