Hello! I am new to the Fibro forum and wanted to introduce myself and, if you don't mind, list my symptoms. I have also listed on the MS forum as well.
about 7 years ago, my left lower leg started hurting horribly - right around shin area. I went to the doc, had an ultrasound done but it showed nothing. I accepted it as "one of those things".
As a child / teenager I would go thru episodes of feeling as though I could not get enough air into my lungs - like I could not breathe deep enough to fill them up...I know this sounds crazy! However it has started happening again recently.
I've had the left leg pain off and on throughout. about 5 years ago I had numbness and tingling in my left arm, hand, leg and foot. I did nothing about it since for so long, I have been told that I'm a hypochondriac, I exaggerate pains, etc.! I am fed up with that and now know, at the age of 44, I have to "take charge" of my own health!
I also get migraines and during a couple, have felt as though one side of my face was drooping.
The pains have always come and gone but lately have gotten much worse and I am seriously concerned. My upper arms feel as though someone has punched me. Even if my daughter lightly touches them, it hurts like crazy. My arms also get weak easily with activity. I have balance issues...more noticeable lately. I stumble and almost fall for no apparent reason.
My short-term memory is horrible and I have problems finding the right words at times. My kids are constantly finishing my sentences for me! I was trying to tell someone that I needed to take my dog to the vet to be weighed and instead it came out as I need to take my dog to the vet to be buried!! (I really do love my dog!) 
At times I have painful muscle spasms in my chest and also my foot...the back of my hands and my arms go through spells of itching like crazy but no rash.
I did have shingles a few months ago although it was caught before a full force breakout. It was on my head and face - horrific pain and the steroids made me feel terrible!!
The skin on the back of my neck feels numb and has for sometime now.
I was doing some light cleaning around the house this morning and had deep, shooting pains in my lower left arm....this one is a first.
Any comments / suggestions are greatly appreciated! I'm just thankful to have a place to talk to people without being told I'm making it all up!
