Tired as all heck, tachycardia for 7 hours

Well, once again, my heart started racing today for no particular reason.  I tried bearing down, yawning, coughing, and nothing helped.  Last time I went in for this I ended up getting nuked BUT GOOD (radiation in the veins!    from the stress test) and they found nothing, so was NOT going to go that route again.

So, I got an EKG(?) and it showed yes, 125 beats per minute.  But what I'm happy about is that my dr. says it's the "sinus" type of tachycardia, which is apparently no big deal, doesn't have to be treated or anything.  Yay!  I've had this condition for over a decade, just now and then, and usually it stops within a couple of hours.  But this is the first time I had an EKG while it was actually going on.

Now I'm dead tired and heading for beddie bye...

Debbie, is this the same as heart palpations? V-tack? I have had both of those. The V-tack was when I was in the ER on a Friday. Got stuck in the hospital all weekend to have the stress test on a monday along with some other tests.

Thanks, guys. Denise, it is the same as palpitations. I'm not sure about the V-tack, though. That's one I haven't heard. A whole weekend in the hospital?! Don't you hate how the system just sucks you in?

It IS scary, and maddening, like so much else we go through. I did get a good sleep, thanks, Robin.

Turns out my thyroid pills were still too strong, so today I started a lower dose. Maybe now I'll stop losing weight. It's a new day!
