pharmacist stole my meds!!

I have had a whole bottle of pills come up missing and I think a so called friend stole them when I was in the store. The pharmacy said that they filled it and swore by it. I have come up missing pills before, but they always make it right. I would suggest taking as few as you can to make up for the missing four. I would let it go and start counting your pills before you leave the pharmacy. I started counting the bottles as that one come up missing. It was my antidepressant too. Luckily I had some extras to make up for it in samples, but it could have been a very rough time. The girl that I think stole them, didn't know what they were. I will not forgive her, I remember it forever. Though she would never admit she did it. Things happen. Luckily you were only four short, you should be able to work around that. LIke I say, take as few as you can get by with until you have made up for the missing ones.

Best wishes to you. I hope that your anxiety doesn't go up with this, but there isn't much you can do about it now, so try to make due. It is a hard thing to proove. And yes, it is addicting and abused, but not by those who really need it like we do.

I tried he said he would only give me my money back if I took the pills back. He couldn't give me the prescription back :l

I could be wrong, but I think once they fill an RX, they can not return the written RX for legal reasons. THey should be able to transfer it though.

I was shorted 1/2 of an RX a couple of months ago at the compounding pharmacist. I caught it when I went out to the car because the bottle just did not look right to me......I went back in and they were very embarrassed and gave me the rest of the RX.

I have had 6 episodes of them messing up since the new pharmacist took over. (He is not a compounder just a reg. pharmacist.) The last one was the straw that broke the camels back.. he had my daughter sign for one drug and handed her a completely different medication in the bottle. If I had not caught it when she brought it home, I would have taken 2x the amount of my synthroid.

My DD went and had a 'discussion' with them because it was the 2x he reissued the same mistake to me............then she saw the office manager and they have a hold on all our RXs, I have to go through the office manager to get our scripts refilled. (Apparently we are not the only ones getting the wrong meds. A woman caught her seizure medication as being a completely different color than before.) This is the only compounder in our area, so we have no other choice. The manager assured us that the compounder would fill ALL scripts from now on not the new pharmacist. (I have a feeling he is going to be gone very soon.) He is a dangerous person if this is his way of filling scripts.

You pay good money for your meds. If you can not change pharmacy's due to small town issue like myself, you can always just hold up the line and count all pills from now on. No problem there. you pay for it and should get what you pay for.

Yes you are correct. Once it is filled they can't return it. So my next prescription will not be filled there. I called the manager today to inform him to look into it. I don't expect anything to get done but at least now they know.

Hippy Chick ..I don't think there is much you can do about it now, his word against yours as they say. Don't go back there again, I would eke your meds out as 'gettin by' suggests. I know it has probably made you pannick more I would also tell your doctor about it, the last thing he wants is for you to be more stressed.....


Getting by.... When trust is gone friendship soon follows...... I had a good friend steal money from me, she is no longer a friend.
