hello, has anyone experienced a sharp stabbing pain, with horrible numbing sensation on your face? This pain is so bad that it will stop you in your tracks. Brain MRI was normal, 6 mo ago.
Thanx, Tara

Hi Tara,
The eye doc is treating me for dry eyes, and I have a lot of relief now, but still live with face pain every day. Other doctors are in the middle of ruling out conditions besides fibro. The pain is usually very sharp and stabbing. Sometimes I get this painful, pulling feeling around my eyes that does not seem to be related to dry eyes.

Hi Tara, I'm sorry for your pain. There is a condition called tic doulareux that affects the trigeminal nerve in the face and causes sharp, stabbing pain. My Dad had this.
If you google tic doulareux, you'll find lots of info, and you can see if this fits your descript
ion.
Wishing you quick pain relief!
Hugs, Robin
