Who uses a TENS unit?

Hi, I have a TENS unit.  I used it a lot when I first got it and did notice that it helped.  I don't even know why I stopped using it, too much of a bother maybe?  My doctor wrote me a script for it so I really don't know the cost.

I doubt if the pads would stay in place all day on the one that I have.  I also think that there is a certain time limit to have it on but not sure.  I am sure that someone else that actually read the paperwork about using it will chime in.

I have a tens unit. It does help. Mostly it helps while I am wearing it and it takes a little while after turning it on to take effect. I don't know how long it takes because I put it on then after awhile, notice that the pain has decreased. Somehow it confuses your brain so it doesn't perceive the pain signals or something like that.

I got mine in the mail and had to go see a physical therapist for instructions on how to use it. My copay was $13, and I do not know how much the unit actually was.

One thing I learned right away: do not take off the electrode thingies while it is still on. The zaps in your fingers feels like you are getting an electric shock. I guess maybe you are and it hurts a lot in the fingers.
