Good Morning I still look like Uncle Fester's twin sister but lucky to report my surgeon is a good barber, I don't look punk.
The biopsies were done in the operating room and performed while I was awake. It was relatively painless. Getting the shots in my head was the only discomfort I felt.
Afterwards, looking in the mirror, I was reminded of an abstract Picasso painting...my features on the left side of my face did not match the ones on the right. I was happy to see my face symetrical again.
The surgeon performed the biopsy on the temperal artery and did decide to do another biopsy...a skin punch biopsy on a lesion near the hairline. The punch biopsy allows the whole thickness of the skin to be taken...it contains blood vessels, nerves, sweat glands and hair shaft. Hopefully everything he took will be able to provide the answers they are looking for. If I do recieve another added Dx...I'm dealing with it like the others...yup..one day at a time! My goal is to "keep on keepin on", have fun and enjoy life!
Thank You ..your humor, kind words and well wishes warm my heart. I would of posted sooner but I was pooped. Going to try to get back to sleep
Hugs, Robin
