Akasya,
I agree with Frankey - I don't mind at all when my doctor says, "We don't know how the human body works. We're just guessing," because I know he believes I am going through what I say I am. That's all we can really ask of them - that they're honest and do the best they can.
I've had episodes of tachycardia for many years, sometimes over 150. In fact, I spent the night in the hospital last September, getting checked out and having a nuclear stress test - - don't even get me started on that one!!! Alcie, you had one and it didn't even catch your problem - unbelievable. All that radiation and money, and what good did it do?? Sorry, I just feel strongly about this.
Anyway, a couple of months ago they finally caught my elevated heartrate on an EKG (125 at the time) and apparently, it's "sinus tachycardia," which is benign. (At least, if it stops itself and doesn't happen too often, it's benign.) But it IS scary, and exhausting. I hope yours goes away, never to return!
