Sometimes it is the simplelist pleasure that can distract pain...drinking a cup of tea, watching some birds or arranging flowers in a vase.
Have you ever thought of reconnecting with an old childhood friend to renew a friendship? I recently connected with an old friend of mine and was so glad that I did. There are so many things that can replace pain with pleasure.
Doing a small favor or helping friends or even strangers helps too. It doesn't have to be a grand act of charity to make you feel good. Going through a closet and donating clothes, distracts pain...helps others and as a bonus makes you feel good too.
Today I choose to laugh awhile
to be content and share my smile
