I'm sure you all know the feeling when a flare finally ends. Doesn't it make you appreciate the better days?
Each day, I think it is important to recognize the good things going on...thank goodness not all days are "foggy" or flare days.
If asked what are you grateful for?... many of us would say family and friends...that's usually a given.
Taking time to notice that we may be feeling better than we did an hour ago can improve our sense of happiness. Finding appreciatiion during the day takes focus off the crummy stuff.
I found that writing gratitude notes or cards to lifts my spirits and I hope the reciever feels better after getting them. Before my Dad died, I had sent him a gratitude letter and I'm so happy I did...my Dad loved it.
I now have that letter...it is special to me too.
Gratitude has helped me find positive ways of coping and accepting some crazy life circumstances.
At this moment, I'm grateful for my fibro family and this forum.
What are you grateful for today?
Hugs, Robin
