I started off with ibs at first a year ago and then fibromyalgia soon followed. My mum also suffers and has since she was also 17. I have an awful doctor who says because my mum has it that I'm making the whole thing up, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
That's being very generous. "Idiotic," "insensitive," and "shouldn't be in the profession" come readily to mind.

I'm also suffering from depression and by being told that I'm lying by doctors I'm struggling to stay positive. Because I haven't been diagnosed I'm suffering without any form of medication. Your support would be highly appreciated.
You need to find other doctors. A psychiatrist should take your depression seriously, and a rheumatologist would be better qualified to diagnose your FM.
I went through hell, a lot of money, and countless doctors before I was finally diagnosed. Don't give up when one doctor, or even several, are too thick to take you seriously.
Once you're "officially" diagnosed, you'll probably be given antidepressants for your pain, to start with. Narcotics and other painkillers should be avoided if at all necessary, because of the obvious addiction risk, and (as happened to me) irreparable damage to the stomach can occur. Paxil, Neurontin, and Trazodone keep my pain relatively manageable, with Tylenol thrown if if things get worse.
Good luck, and DON'T GIVE UP.
