My routine is very much like Robin's. I stretch before getting out of bed and then I head to the kitchen for a good breakfast and watching a little news or other programming. After about an hour, the meds have kicked in and I then start my day. Because I have this routine, I get up a little earlier so I still have a plenty of time in the morning to do the goals I've set. I usually fizzle out in the afternoon so I get stuff done in the morning.
I live in Florida and the only time I can walk and be comfortable in the summer is right when the sun is coming up. Believe me, I have to drag myself out the door but once I get going, it's wonderful! The critters are scurrying around getting their breakfasts and the sky is gorgeous with the dawning of the new day. After I get home, then I will have my breakfast but I actually feel better walking early like this. In the winter, though, it's too cold to walk early in the morning.
But, you are not lazy. You will get in the right routine that suits you the best. We have to pace ourselves. That's not being lazy. You have chronic pain so things do take longer and it's difficult to get moving. But, set daily goals for yourself and check them off when you are done. You will SEE that you are not lazy!
