Hi Everybody,
I went to the doctor yesterday and he had an interesting alternative approach for those annoying/enough to drive you nutty sometimes buzzing/tingling/throbbing in our extremeties that I would like to share. Mine is mostly in my legs, and with increased exercises I've been trying here, my legs are driving me crazy. My whole lower body will throbb. Anyway, after the usual 'let's up your Neurontin', he asked if I ever tried distraction techniques which, of course, I do. Well, he said try this...get some of that arthritis/muscle cream - you know, like the icy/hot stuff or something similar - and rub that ABOVE where you are experiencing those sensations and he says it will immediately draw your brain's attention away from the buzz. I'm going to give it a try today. Heck, get the stuff without the smell and who knows? I'm willing to try anything including rubbing gooey junk on me. He says he has an MS lady who is already up to rediculous amounts of Gabapentin and this helps her. Just thought I would pass it on. Hope everyone is having a good day today :)
Gentle Hugs
Sandi
