Hi Sheila, I also have raynauds and have been taking Diltiazem, a calcium channel blocker. It dialates the blood vessels and helps with circulation. I do still have trouble with it, mainly when I'm sitting for long periods of time or sleeping. The pain in my feet sometimes wakes me up and I will get up to massage them. Using a bed buddy does help...and I do wear socks to bed too.
There are some side effects that do come with this type of medication. I've been lucky not to experiance any. The side effects range from rashes to trouble breathing. I take it tp prevent ulcerations.
The fingers and toes are both ver sensitive to pain when the raynauds is flaring..the pain is worse in my feet.
Hope you will find some relief!
Hugs, Robin
